About my work ethic

Did You Know?:

  • There are two public tattoo studios that are owned by apprentice and under-apprentice level individuals in “higher end” parts of Greater Lafayette.
  • Local regulators have lifted restrictions on the owners/operators of public studios from having any prior tattoo experience. Wild.
  • Here is just one example of one of these “tattoo studio owner’s” work:

There is a difference between someone who is inexperienced working privately and a decades-long professional artist working privately.

I prefer to work in a comfortable non-storefront, private studio setting for these reasons:

  • Storefront tattoo studios often have toxic, noisy environments where artists are often trying to impress each other, not the client.
  • After 20+ years in this profession, I have found public storefront tattoo studios to contribute to the least serious, least professional atmosphere possible.
  • In particular walk-in shops can house some of the most lethargic, inexperienced, uninterested individuals who may not thoroughly enjoy what they do (There are exceptions to every rule).
  • This is my professional opinion after decades of working in and owning public studios.
